Minimal installation space at this Portland lot was a welcome challenge for Geonomic.
We designed and fitted a 5-ton geothermal heat pump with a revamped duct system, creating three separate zones in the home that can be heated and cooled as desired. The total area required for this system was only about 50 square feet.
Replacing an aging natural gas furnace and an inefficient air conditioning system reduced energy usage for this family by about 60% – which translates to substantial cost savings.
We are also proud to note that the geothermal upgrade is cutting down the home’s carbon output by 4 tons of CO2 every year – roughly equivalent to taking two cars off the roads.
