This private residence in Northwest Portland features the most energy efficient, advanced space conditioning system available.
Geonomic was part of this custom home project from the design phase.
We installed a horizontally trenched geothermal heating system, sized to cover 100& of the home’s heating and cooling needs. It consists of a “combination” geothermal heat pump, fitted to a 6-zone in-floor heating system and a forced air duct system for cooling.
Radiant floor heating (also called hydronic heating) really is the most comfortable way to heat a home because it offers completely even heat distribution – and that means no cold areas in any part of the home. It is also one of the easiest options to install as part of a new construction project, and most cost effective over time.
The owners of this Hillsboro residence are now seeing about 45% lower than average energy usage, which translates to bills as low as $60 per month in the winter.
